Holiday’ng in the Sunshine Coast

I am the biggest sucker for anything to do with either the sea or the bush so it is never hard to convince me to come up to the Sunshine coast to escape the cold southern winter and to get a dose of both the Australian bush and the Sea. Being an ex Queenslander, I was shocked to see this years effects of the king tides on the Sunshine Beaches (global warming here we come) and found it a little sad that the anytime walks I use to take along the beach now can only be taken during low tide. The local Sunshine Coast newspaper is reporting that the councils will have to rebuild the paths and access ways to many of the beaches and even build seawalls along the more exposed coast line to contain the erosion. I can only comment that having to do so sends a shiver up and down my spine..

Leo’s Family Moved Away

For all you all who have been following the (tarty) adventures of the next door neighbour cat (Leo) I have some sad news.  As I posted last year his family sold their home and were in the process of building a new home.  Sadly  Leo’s family have now moved out, so no more meow’s at the door, demands for food, laps, love and attention.  The place will not feel the same without a constant cat under our feet.  I have added a few more photos as testament to the many sides of Leo the Cat.

One week in Bangkok

Some quick photos of my Bangkok visit.  Sadly being on business you get such a small amount of time to explore the country :(   I am hoping next time I will get to stay a few extra days to explore more of the country as I have been told it is truly beautiful.
