Day Four

Started the day walking around Launceston, found Kathmandu had a 50% off sale so Sharon and I purchased some goretex coats (at half price it is very hard to say no to something like that) and a camera tripod. Walked up to the jetty and went on a 3 hour trip up the Tamar River which was well worth the money. After getting some way overpriced Fish & Chips (and very average as well) we walked over to the Launceston bowl and watched a fairly impressive fireworks display (not bad for a small city!) before heading back into town and drinking in the New Year at a Irish Club listening to a local band.
