Lately I been feeling really run down to the point where it was seriously effecting everything I did. My first reaction was well it is winter, everyone is sick so most likely I am fighting off a cold and never thought more of it. As the days went on, the feeling of tiredness got worse and worse until I was always seriously tired and struggling to just do anything and always wanted to sleep.
One night a few nights ago, tossing and turning yet again, it suddenly occurred to me, Sharon and I bought a fantastic new latex bed thanks to a very timely 30% off sale and that would be about the time this entire lack of sleep thing started.
After some research, it turns out Latex solid beds have one small drawback, being solid they are MUCH warmer than a normal bed thus very simply my body was struggling to drop into a deep sleep until early in the morning because it was simply too hot.
Thanks to a mate’s suggestions I switched around our mattress cover to a all cotton cover and a lighter specially designed (read expensive) donna cover and suddenly now I can sleep..

Every year the Kiwi’s decent on us poor Aussies to battle it out on the Rugby field. I have been lucky to go to a few games and the atmosphere of a All Blacks VS Australia game with the roar of 90,000+ people is just electric.
Since none of the games are down in Melbourne this year, I thought lets get a few of my friends together (Kiwi’s included) to enjoy watching Australia do a number on the All Blacks and it looks like we going to get a crowd turn up to witness the flogging of the All Blacks team.
Special mention has to go to both Frankie and Karen, two lovely kiwi’s who are never short of a sense of mischief , who have made bet regarding the loser of this game (soo looking forward to the pair of you paying up)
And thanks for the book Karen, soo do not need to study it although as I already know who’s ass will be on display

Well another birthday down although this one was a little more special, being my 40th Birthday. I managed to see my 40th off in high style, jetting up to the Sunshine Coast the weekend before to have my first birthday cake with my family, then catching up with Sharon’s parents on my actual birthday (1st of July) finally setting off what has been a week of cake eating with a gathering of friends and yes you guessed it, another cake..
Thanks to everyone who has made this such a fantastic week and of course, lets do this all over again next year
