Perth0

It been a fair few years since I worked in Perth but my current project required a site visit to a Perth DC for a few weeks so I found myself back in Perth for a few weeks. Since I was staying for a weekend I had a chance to walk around town and I was amazed at just how much this little city had grown up, you could not cross a block without some major building construction blocking your way but I did had a chuckle when I realised Perth still has some growing up to do when I released the stores in town on Sundays only open at 12:00pm and you struggle to find a pub open during the week after 9:30pm :-)

What had not changed was the stunning Perth coastline and the sunsets which make for jogging along the coast or the river pretty special.

A day in the life of..1

Ever since the deck was built the next door neighbour cat Leo (his actual name is “ginger” but we both feel he is much more of a Leo than a “ginger”) has been making our place his home. Like all cats, he was out on a mission, first moving in on our new deck, then into our garden, the back room and finally just moving in.. The funny thing is, this is not our cat, not that you can ever own a cat, cats choose owners, and if you are lucky they might let you share the house with them. ;)

Sunshine Coast0

With Christmas all over, Sharon and I went up north to visit my family up in the Sunshine Coast. Normally this time of the year you would get the daily tropical thunderstorms and clear blue sky however the weather had a different surprise in store for us and instead a intensive low developed just of the coast of Fraser Island and instead we had eight days solid of some of the worse weather I’ve seen all the way down the Coast as far as Tweed Heads with High Seas, blinding Rain and intensive wind gusts. We managed to get down to the Coast and take some pretty spectacular photos of the high waves and a few silly individuals who ignored the beach closed signs to ride the four meter swell.
