Well the drive to Lake St Clair was certainly an interesting one, we went from dual highway sealed roads, to dirt road!! (Yep you read right, dirt road!!) It turns out Tasmina does not have a sealed road connecting from Launceston to Lake St Clair and you have to travel about 100 kim’s of dirt (well compacted) but still dirt road.. Still the trip is a scenic one with some odd sights along the way (like about 15 km’s of brand new security fence in the middle of no place) and of course the various lakes along the way.. Eventually we made it to Lake St Claire and quickly threw on our boots for a quick walk around the area and a boat ride around the lake..
Eventually getting around to putting on our boots and going for a walk to Cataract Gorge (great place for Coffee and Scones) ending up at the old power station up at the second dam (I loved the old suspension bridges on the way) before making our way back to Launceston and some more sightseeing walking around the Gardens / Parks in town..
